I am a writer, renovator and frequent traveller, and have a particular love for French food, wine, architecture and culture. Originally from New Zealand and Australia, I have worked as a photographer; journalist and the Arts Editor of a large Australian newspaper. My book, A House in Fez, has been published in the US and UK, Australia and New Zealand, Poland and Korea.
My passion is to find older, character properties and to give them a new lease of life. My first property in France was Bordeaux Terrace in 2007. Since then, other owners have asked me to manage their properties and I have taken on a select few.
My family and I now live between France and Morocco, and it is a joy to spend part of each year in Bordeaux. The city and region has a huge amount to offer, and it is a pleasure to be able to share this experience with others and help them make the most of their holiday.
I work with a trusted team, including English and French speaking property managers. They have a great deal of experience in meeting, greeting and making guests feel comfortable.
We have hosted hundreds of guests at the properties on the Bordeaux Apartments website, and you can see reviews from some of them on sites such as AirBnb, HomeAway and Trip Advisor. Please see the links at the bottom of each apartment page.

What our guests say…
Incredible apartment in Bordeaux
My husband & I visited Bordeaux for the first time and are SO thankful to have found Suzanna’s apartment; we could not have imagined a more perfect base to explore this beautiful city. The apartment looked exactly like the photos and was accurately portrayed in the description. It is more like a luxury home than an apartment and we felt totally spoiled while staying there. The apartment simply took our breath away (massive rooms with grand, towering ceilings, state-of-the-art kitchen, cafe-quality coffees in our private courtyard, whisper quiet bedroom). We LOVED the location- only steps away from the beautiful Bordeaux gardens, close to everything in the historic part of Bordeaux, 5 mins walk from the tram stop (we caught the tram to the train station to catch our TGV to Paris). Thank you so much to Suzanna for your promptness and helpfulness in arranging our stay and a very big thank you to Charlotte who was very welcoming and extremely helpful in orienting us to the apartment and the area.
Loved this place…..location great, very well equipped. It would be easy to stay much longer than the 3 days we had. Enjoyed everything about it especially the fantastic welcome from Ange she couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a special place to stay in Bordeaux.
A beautiful apartment in a beautiful city
We just wanted to thank you for our recent stay in the beautiful city of Bordeaux. Your apartment is one of the most wonderful places we have ever stayed in throughout all our travels. We felt at home the entire time. The location is just perfect. We will never forget standing on the balcony at 1.30am as the snow came down. What an experience! Your property manager was just fantastic. She made us feel very welcome and offered his assistance at any time during our visit. We would be more than happy to recommend La Terrasse à Bordeaux to anyone.
